Amy Anderson - Creative Director
The idea for this collection has been a slow burn. When the Harvey Weinstein scandal broke, I became increasingly angry. As more voices were heard, and more stories were shared far and wide, that anger became urgent, too consuming not to mark. But there was nothing urgent about what it referred to. The shared collective stories cover lifetimes of injustice. So I took my time wanting to mark this depth of feeling with something beautiful to counter it. Something to empower, and something to give back.
Jewellery can be powerful, these meaningful symbols we wear, that we carry around with us and on us can instil strength, and remind us of loved ones, and concepts and ideas. This very special collection is aiming to do all those things – to empower, honour and remind us. It is my tribute to women everywhere, from past till present.
L-R: Rosa Parks, Emmeline Pankhurst, Amelia Earhart, Marie Curie, Malala Yousafzai, Serena Williams, Greta Thunberg.
With every purchase from the Still I Rise collection we will be donating 10% of the proceeds to the charity Women’s Aid. Women’s Aid is a grassroots federation that is made up of 180 organisations. Since 1974, they have been offering life-saving services to women and children suffering from domestic abuse, education and public awareness. The organisations work closely to offer a support system as well as a 24-hour National Domestic Violence Helpline.
